In an elevated, rural postion, detached Wood Cottage, renovated to a high standard, enjoys spectacular views towards Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire. Access is via a working farm, and guests can enjoy exploring the two mature woodlands. This is an excellent base from which to discover Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire which have a wealth of activities. A short drive leads to Ludlow, famous for its castle, festivals, quaint streets and open markets; it also has an abundance of restaurants and eateries, some Michelin starred, and is a definite ‘must’ for a visit.
The area has a wealth of National Trust properties including Berrington Hall, Croft Castle, Hampton Court Gardens and Brockhampton Estate, all within easy driving distance. Enjoy a day out to the cathedral cities of Worcester, Hereford and Gloucester and the abbey town of Tewkesbury. For the more active, there is golf, horse riding, swimming and canoeing available locally and Offa’s Dyke, the Malvern Hills and Brecon Beacons are within easy reach. Book lovers can enjoy a trip to the renowned town of Hay-on-Wye, whilst theatre lovers can visit Malvern or Stratford-upon-Avon. For the young at heart, the West Midlands Safari Park is 1/2 hour away. Or perhaps sit and relax, enjoying the peace and quiet of the unspoilt countryside or observe the activities on this working farm. Whatever guests do, one visit may not be enough!
