Holly Bank Cottage is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and there are beautiful views to enjoy with an abundance of nearby walks. . Detached and situated high in the Malvern Hills, Holly Bank Cottage boasts fabulous views over the surrounding countryside and gives a panoramic view of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire, including the Black Mountains of Wales on a clear day. This beautiful cottage dates back to the 1850s and is steeped in local history. The perfect holiday location for walking, rambling or cycling through some of the most scenic countryside the county has to offer. Take advantage of the surrounding area and the many public footpaths that lead further onto the famous Malvern Hills. Only a short drive or hearty walk away is the historic British Camp where guests will be able to explore this ancient Roman Fort that dates back to the Iron Age. Situated within West Malvern, Holly Bank Cottage is the perfect location for guests of all ages to visit the many tourist attractions in the area. These include Great Malvern Priory, Malvern Museum, Malvern Theatre, Barnard’s Green House and Gardens and St Wulstan’s Church where the great Sir Edward Elgar is buried. As well as the usual leisure centre facilities being available nearby, Holly Bank Cottage is situated 5 miles from the Three Counties Showground with a varied itinerary of events throughout the year. There is also a children’s activity area which is only a ten minute walk from the cottage and can be seen in the distance from the living room window. Perfect also for a romantic break, Great Malvern has a good number of restaurants, cafes, shops and boutiques as well as Malvern Spa. There are regular farmer’s markets and craft markets in Great Malvern itself and surrounding villages to amble around and be inspired. The villages of Hanley Castle and Hanley Swan are only a short drive away and are perfect for a quiet picnic on the green or on the banks of the duck pond.
