Lying just off the Fosseway, close to the picturesque villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter and Bourton-on-the-Water it provides an ideal base for touring within the rolling uplands of the Cotswold Hills. Here are unchanged market towns and villages, beautiful Hidcote and Kiftsgate gardens, NT houses, Sudeley Castle, Blenheim Palace, a wildlife park at Burford, two farm parks and old inns. Slightly further in Stratford-upon-Avon there are historic houses, churches and the Memorial and Swan theatres dedicated to William Shakespeare. At the university city of Oxford there are famous museums, libraries and guided tours of the colleges. Network of foot paths easily accessible. Shop 500 yards, pub ¾ mile.
