Locally the area is renowned for its Red Kites and is an ornithologists paradise, as the local Red Kite centre is open to the public to see the Kites being fed. Mountain bikers can enjoy a varied terrain in the Welsh mountains with levels for all abilities. Nant-y-Moch nearby is great for fishing and scenic walks and Dinas Reservoir is home to all kinds of wildlife.
The cascading waterfalls are a must over at Devils Bridge where a steam railway can also be found making its trip over to the historic university town of Aberystwyth, winding its way through the Welsh valley. Aberystwyth 12 miles, golf 9 miles, riding 5 miles.
