Known locally as the ‘ink pot’, this detached Welsh holiday cottage is constructed of stone under a slate roof, and dates back to the 1700s. Sympathetically restored, it offers a high standard of accommodation, boasting electric underfloor heating, two cosy wood-burning stoves, one in the romantic double bedroom, exposed beams, and sunny garden with views over fields and woods. Visitors are welcome to roam the 75-acre grounds and there are many interesting days out including boat trips on the Menai Strait, Beaumaris Castle and, of course, Snowdonia National Park. Attractions on Anglesey include Newborough beach, the coastal footpath and Plas Newydd. Shop 2 miles.
