The town itself is surrounded by the Tarren Hills, and plays host to the 7-mile long Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Steam Railway that runs between Tywyn Wharf and Nant Gwernol. With all areas of the Snowdonia National Park being easily accessible, guests will never be short of places to visit. Some of the more local visitor attractions include the Centre for Alternative Technology, King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Animalarium, Coed-y-Brenin Forest, and Portmeirion Italianate village.
