Near to many good beaches
A large stone built, detached farmhouse is set in a prominent position on the Lleyn Peninsula with its own large garden. The property has been refurbished to provide a very good standard of holiday accommodation, ideal for families or groups wishing to holiday together. The Lleyn and surrounding areas offer some of Wales’ most dramatic coastal scenery – much of which is National Trust maintained. The rugged cliffs offer superb birdwatching and rare chough, peregrine and colonies of auks can be seen. Sandy beaches are plentiful including Criccieth, Pwllhelli, Porth Neigwl and probably the most talked about in the vicinity - Whistling Sands near the foot of the peninsula. Criccieth Castle, perched on a rocky peninsula above the town, is one of Wales’ most photographed castles. Bardsey Island is a former site of religious pilgrimage, and plays host to some great watersports (mainly surfing or sailing). Also popular for watersports is Abersoch. Popular excursions include day trips to Portmeirion, and a steam train ride through the valley from Porthmadog. Glaslyn for go-karting and outdoor pursuits, and horse riding on the beach at Criccieth. Shops and pub 11/2 miles.
