Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir is one of the largest male voice choirs in North Wales and is noted for its varied repertoire ranging from Vivaldi to Andrew Lloyd Webber. The choir has appeared with many notable soloists such as Bryn Terfel, Dennis O'Neill, Rhys Meirion, Gwyn Hughes Jones and performed alongside famous bands including the Grimethorpe Colliery, Black Dyke and Fodens.
In the years since its inception the choir has had just five musical directors. The latest, Geraint Roberts, has held the post from 1981 and under his baton the membership has further increased to its present 100 or so choristers.
Rehearsals are held in Trelawnyd - a small village in Flintshire - situated 5 miles inland from Rhyl and Prestatyn. Click through to the next page for a splendid video of the Trelawnyd Choir and details of rehearsals.
