There are six dolls in the Ladies of Wales, Merched Cymru, range. Standing 14" high, they feature individual head sculptures, reproduced in porcelain in Brenda's studio in the heart of Wales. Brenda also designs and makes all the costumes, whilst the replica accessories such as drop spinners and yokes are handmade for the individual doll by her husband, Roger. All dolls are numbered and a signed certificate of authenticity accompanies each creation.

Welsh Doll Elin is depicted in the typical costume of a milkmaid. She wears the open-front ‘betgwn’ (bedgown) pinned back, an underskirt, apron, sleeve guards and shoulder cloth. Elin also wears an under bonnet of white muslin with a summer time hat. She has a beech wood yoke (a specially made replica of a genuine C19th example) with two large wooden buckets suspended on chains.
As with all our Welsh Dolls Elin stands 14” high, Elin has porcelain head, hands and half-legs. Her features are carefully china painted and she has life-like set in eyes and a soft brown mohair wig.
