Nestled below Mynydd Eilian, Pengorffwysfa is a small village 1km from Porth Eilian on the north eastern tip of Anglesey, North Wales. It is a mere 5km from the beaches of Dulas Bay and Lligwy Beach, with a short walk round the headland from Lligwy to the seaside resort of Moelfre. Attractions found in the area are the Copper Mines on Parys Mountain, Llyn Llaethdy 2km west of the village, St Eilian's Church in the adjacent village of Llaneilian, and the historic sites of the Din Lligwy early British settlement, the Lligwy Burial Chamber and the ruins of the 12th Century Lligwy Church. Porth Amlwch (2km)once a busy port is now a popular embarkation point for boat trips in the Irish Sea.
