The village of Mathry lies along the A487 road in the north of the county of Pembrokeshire, West Wales. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path snakes its way around the entire county, with one section being just 1.8km north of Mathry. Cyclists are also catered for with the National Cycle Trail passing within 1km of the village enabling access to the North Pembrokeshire coastline from Mathry. The Western Cleddau River is sourced close to Mathry before wending its way south west to the Milford Haven. There is a Craft Centre located in the village, whilst an Activity Centre can be found 1km north off the A487. For somewhere to shop, head north east to the town of Fishguard 10.7km away.
