Bancyfelin sits on the banks of the River Cywyn (a tributary of the Taf), in the county of Carmarthenshire, South Wales.
The town sits next to the A40 road between Llandeilo and Carmarthen. The town of Meidrim lies to the north west of Bancyfelin, Carmarthen to the north east and Llangynog to the south east.
The village has a small primary school, a post office, a pub - the Fox and Hounds, a chapel, a garage and a family run bakery called Hafod Bakery.
