You may choose to stay a little or stay a while at Staylittle. This small village almost acts as the 'crown' at the head of the Llyn Clywedog Reservoir in Powys, Mid Wales, 11.7km north west of the market town of Llanidloes. The Afon Clywedog runs through Staylittle from its source in the Cambrian Mountains, before joining the River Severn at Llanidloes. The footpath of Glyndwr's Way, so named after Welsh rebel prince Owain Glyndwr, is less than 1.5km away from Staylittle to the west, whilst the National Cycle Route, Lon Las Cymru, passes through the village itself.
Attractions in and around Staylittle are the Roman fortlet 9km east of the village in Penycrocbren, a second fort 9km south east along the reservoir, and the Trawsnant Waterfall 2.3km north east of Staylittle in the forest of Esgair Hir. Shopping can be taken up at Llanidloes, with its many independent and specialist shops.....
