Pontsticill is a village found in the county of Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. It lies at the foot of the Pontsticill Reservoir, with the Taf Fechan river travelling through the village centre and running onwards to its confluence with the river Taff at Merthyr Tydfil. A cycle trail and walking route pass through Ponsticill, both making their way up the western side of the reservoir.
The Taff Trail, as it is known, is a multi-purpose route between Cardiff in the South and the Market Town of Brecon in the North. 55 miles (88km) in length, it passes through a wide variety of landscapes and the open moorland of the Brecon Beacons. ....
