Pont Rhyd y Cyff can be found near Llangynwyd in Bridgend county, South Wales. The river Llynfi flows through the village from its source near Maesteg, before meeting the river Ogmore and river Garw at Aberkenfig.
The village is only 7 miles from the beautiful beaches of the Glamorgan coast, yet Pont Rhyd y Cyff sits among the rolling hills of the Llynfi Valley. Moel Troed y Rhiw, 224m, lies to the north west of the village, Garth Hill, 257m, to the north, and Moel Cynhordy, 346m, lies to the north east. Ramblers can't fail to appreciate the many walks up the hills and down the cwms of the Llyfni and surrounding valleys. And if you are seeking the thrills of some of the best mountain bike trails in Wales and indeed the UK then the Afan Forest Park some five miles to the north west can't fail to impress.
