Llysfaen
The peaceful village of Llysfaen sits south east of Colwyn Bay in North Wales. It is bordered by Rhyd-y-Foel and Abergele to the east, Dolwen to the south west and Old Colwyn to the north. As well as Colwyn Bay, other nearby towns and villages include Llandudno, Llanddulas, Mochdre, Betws yn Rhos, Pensarn and Towyn. The name Llysfaen is Welsh for stone court.
According to tradition, Saint Cynfran founded the church in Llysfaen circa 777 AD. The present church dates back to 1377. During the Victorian era many churches in England and Wales were restored and St Cynfran's was no exception, undergoing heavy restoration in 1870.....
