Llechryd can be found east of Merthyr Tydfil in Caerphilly County, South Wales. It is bordered to the north by Princetown, to the south by Rhymney, to the west by Dowlais and to the east by Tredegar, with surrounding towns and villages including Aberdare, Ebbw Vale, Brynmawr, Tafarnaubach, Bargoed and Pontsticill.
