Llangwyryfon
Llangwyryfon is a village that sits at the confluence of the Wyre and Beidog rivers in the heart of Ceredigion, West Wales. It is most famous for its church, which is dedicated to St Ursula and the 11,000 virgins.
All stories vary but the most famous legend is that the saint was taking the virgins across the sea to Brittany so they could marry British colonists there. Unfortunately, as the result of storms, their ships ended up in Germany and they were murdered by the Huns. St Ursula and the virgins were buried at Cologne Cathedral.....
