Llangeitho sits on the banks of the Afon Aeron in the county of Ceredigion, West Wales. Described as “quiet and peaceful”, the village has a strong connection with the Welsh Methodists.
Daniel Rowland was a famous Welsh Methodist preacher who was born in nearby Nantcwnlle. He became a curate after his own father and soon began preaching on hell, death and sin at Llangeitho's chapel. Many were terrified by Rowland's words, but hundreds travelled from all over Wales to hear him on Communion Sundays. Rowland died in 1790 but his messages continued to influence the Welsh and he still remains an important figure in the Methodist world. ....
