Llanfaethlu sits on the north west coast of Anglesey, North Wales. 8km north of Holyhead the village is located between the towns of Valley and Cemaes on the A5025 road that circumvents the island. Nearby attractions include Llyn Garreglwyd just north of Llanfaethlu, and Mynydd y Garn (170m) 5km north of the village. This Welsh village sits in the heart of north western Anglesey, around 3km from the beaches at Porth Trwyn and Church Bay, and just 2km from the Anglesey Coastal Path. The Llanfaethlu standing stone on the village outskirts is a well known landmark for travellers on the A5025.
