Llanbedr is an attractive village situated in Gwynedd, North West Wales. Originally, a slate mining village, today Llanbedr lends its hand more to tourism and the attractions of the surrounding area. Llanbedr sits alongside the River Artro among glorious Welsh countryside. The village sits just a mile from the picturesque estuary of the River Artro at Llandanwg. Among the sand dunes can be found the parish church of Saint Tanwg. The old church probably dates from the 13th Century, but two inscribed stones are evidence of Christianity in Llandanwg from the early 6th Century.
Many pass through Llanbedr en route between the larger resorts of Harlech and Barmouth, however, those in the know pause awhile at Llanbedr. What is the attraction Well, besides the obvious attraction of the riverside beer garden and fine beers at the Victoria Inn, walkers will appreciate the fabulous countryside both within and at the head of the valley of the River Artro. ....
