Garth sits in the shadow of Garth Hill (257m) between Pontycymer and Maesteg in Bridgend county, South Wales. The Llynfi river flows through Garth before meeting the rivers Garw and Ogmore at Aberkenfig, 5.3 miles south of the village.
The Llynfi valley is the perfect place to take a walk, with earthworks of a Roman camp, early burial mounds, and remaining signs of the area's former coal and iron mining industry to be seen.
