The small village of Gaerwen can be found twenty two minutes south of Holyhead in Anglesey, North Wales. Four miles west of the village of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll (whose longer name is one of the longest place names in the world), it is set amongst the beautiful Anglesey countryside, a perfect retreat away from urban life.
Gaerwen mixes old and modern, with two disused windmills to the north of the village and a small industrial estate to the south. Nevertheless, Gaerwen still maintains its rustic charm and its several public houses entice visitors to sit and enjoy a quiet drink whilst appreciating the surrounding countryside. ....
