Dulas is located on the north eastern corner of Anglesey, North Wales. Nearby villages include Penysarn to the north, Brynrefail to the south, Gadfa to the west, Nebo to the north west, and Dulas Bay to the east. The bay is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has three beaches: Traeth Dulas, Traeth Bach (Small Beach) and Traeth yr Ora. A rocky outcrop known as Craig y Sais (The Saxon Rock) separates Traeth Bach and Traeth Yr Ora, but at low tide visitors can walk between the three beaches, and on to Lligwy Bay in the south. Traeth Dulas is a shingle estuary, whilst Traeth yr Ora is known for its sandy shores. Ynys Dulas is a small island one and a half miles off shore. It is a popular retreat for seals, hence its second name, Seal Island. There is also the interestingly named Prisoners' Island (Ynys y Carcharorion) a little further out to sea. For those who are interested in the history of the area, the remains of St Gwenllwyfo's church is around 1.5km north east of Dulas. The Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path also passes through Dulas.
