Defynnog is situated in Powys, Mid Wales. Defynnog can be found south of Sennybridge in the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales. It sits on the banks of the Senni river, which joins the Usk just over 1km north from the village. The Usk then flows 48.8 miles south east to its estuary at Uskmouth.
Defynnog Church dates back to medieval times, and has gained fame for its beautiful Celtic window. The church also includes a 12th century font and a tower complete with battlements, camber-headed windows and gargoyles.
