I found this flower on the beach at Llanddwyn Island on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales. This wild flower has many names: Sea Bindweed, Beach Morning Glory, Sea Cole, Shore Bindweed, Sea Foalfoot, Prince's-flower, Sea-bells, Sea Withywind.
Its scientific names are Calystegia soldanella and Convolvulus soldanella.
The pink and purple flowers come off a plant that has round leaves and
as its name suggests has a tendency to wrap itself around driftwood and
other beach plants.
