The North Wales Cycle Path stretches along the coast from Holyhead on the Isle of Anglesey to the City of Chester in England. Cycle on quiet lanes through Anglesey with fine views across the Menai Strait to Snowdonia. Once on the mainland the route follows the North Wales coast passing through the seaside towns of Penmaenmawr, Llandudno, Penrhyn Bay, Rhos-on-Sea, Colwyn Bay, and Prestatyn to Connah's Quay before following an old railway line and canal towpath into the heart of Chester.
The section in Colwyn Bay is traffic free, a three
mile flat section from Rhos Point to Penmaenhead in Old Colwyn. Many
more sections of the route are traffic free and it is ideal for short
day rides with the family.
