Cemaes is situated between Tregele and Llanbadrig on
the northern coast of Anglesey. Its largest beach, Traeth Mawr, has a
long promenade and there is disabled access via a slipway leading down
to the sands. There are rock pools for exploring and the area is very
popular for watersports, including windsurfing and kayaking. There are
fantastic views of Cemaes Bay from the beach and the village centre is
close at hand with many shops, pubs and cafes and there is also a
Tourist Information Centre.
Parking (Pay £2.00 per day 2009) can be found near
the beach and there are several disabled spaces. Please note that dogs
are banned from Traeth Mawr during the summer.
