Barmouth is located on the west coast of Wales and
lies between the Snowdonia National Park and the sea. The beach is large
and ideal for family holidays with miles of golden sands which makes it
perfect for sunbathing and games. The beach can get very busy during
the summer yet its size means those wanting to get away and relax in
peace and quite can do so easily. The town itself has an extensive range
of shops, pubs, hotels and other accommodation. There is also a funfair
from March to October. Beach facilities include cafe, fish and chips,
promenade, funfair, and donkey rides.
Just around the corner from the beach lies the harbour, where there is always a bunch of kids (some older than others) dropping a line into the clear blue sea to catch crabs. The second most popular tourist occupation on Barmouth harbour is buying a proper bag of Fish and Chips from the local Chippie and watching the crabbers crabbing.
