Aberporth beach is a blue flag beach (2006) with excellent water quality. A favourite with locals and visitors alike it can be said to be one of the best beaches in West Wales. There are two sandy sheltered beaches with rock pools for the children to explore at low tide.
Swimming is considered safe on Aberporth beach and for added peace of mind there is a Lifeguard Service during the school summer holidays. Facilities include a Car Park (above the south section of the beach) toilets, and refreshments are also within easy reach of the beach.
Close to the beach is a colourful Beach Shop with all the buckets, spades and fishing nets that a good rock pooler requires.
The east beach can be quite a busy little place with the Aberporth Sailing Club launching their fine looking 'swallow' sailing boats from the shoreline. Watch the fishermen toing and froing out into Cardigan bay and bringing their catches of fish and spider crabs ashore.

I am thinking of visiting Aberporth on the 15th June for 1 week and have 2 small cairn terrier dogs, can someone please tell me if I can take my dogs on either of these beaches at this time please, as this will determiine whether I come to Aberporth or not. Your reply will be much appreciated.
